Depuis le 16 février se tient à Stockholm le plus important procès de ces dernières années en matière de lutte contre le P2P. Le site de liens BitTorrent The Pirate Bay fait face à un conglomérat de représentants des industries de la musique et du cinéma qui l’accuse d’être un plaque tournante du piratage des oeuvres dans le monde.
Or depuis deux jours que la procès s’est ouvert, on ne peut pas dire que les ayants droit on su trouver les mots pour mettre les représentants du site suédois dans l’embarras. Bien au contraire, car comme le rapporte le site Numerama depuis l’ouverture des débats, le procureur a déjà re-qualifié les motifs d’accusation, ce qui a permis à The Pirate Bay de "crier victoire". Désormais, le site n’est plus coupable de reproduire des liens vers des fichiers pirates, mais seulement d’en faciliter la circulation. Le procès doit durer encore 11 jours, et le meilleur reste donc à venir.
